This is the rear level point. By careful location of the laser level, I can get the level to illuminate from the front point to this rear point. I wasn't able to get a picture that shows how the laser makes these "level pins" radiate, but when the laser is spot on, the pins glow red.

To be accurate and complete, this was not my idea. My new build buddy (my wife, Linda) made this suggestion when we discovered that we could not really see the old level line that was drawn on the fuselage because of cutting, sanding and epoxy smears.

In the future these points will be converted to a subtle marking in the fuselage that won't disappear with painting. We will be doing the same sort of thing on the strakes for the other axis.
