This is the aileron torque tube channel in the wing. This section is where the torque tube connector bolt will sit. We decided to reinforce the opening, as we took out a lot of material. This layup is carbon fiber with a layer of deck cloth over it.

We had quite a few loose strands of carbon "thread", and we decided to use those for strength in a small lateral crevice. We wet the strands and gathered them in a bundle and laid the bundle into the shmooey. We're thinking that will add a lot of strength to that section.
