This photo shows the top of the jack going into the wing support block. If you look closely at the right side of the hole, you'll see the head of a screw. As a precaution, we ran a wood screw into the hole. This will make certain that the block remains with the jack.
The support block still has plenty of latitude to move about in the horizontal plane - this means that it's self-adjusting as needed to match the angle of the the wing surface. As a result, we can be casual about where we place the wing stand, so long as the wing is balanced on the three jacks. The two of us had no problem removing both wings by ourselves this evening. |
