The upper cowling is covered with duct tape, and the upper wing/cowling flanges are in place. We used peel ply on the wing surface to make sure we had minimal air bubbles in the lay-up, ensuring a nice bond with the wing surface.

For some reason, we ended up with a very large flange on the cowling. We'll be trimming that back considerably.

Note from the future: We later decide to make use of the excess flange material. See picture 226, step 11, where we installed the cut flange for the "other half" of the hinge. Had we realized this earlier, we would have made all of the flanges oversized.
