This image shows the lower strake (white) on the bottom, and the inside of the upper strake. We are marking areas to cut.

The bright red line is painted by the laser level. It is aligned with the spar cutout on the lower stake.

The horizontal, dark-red line was our first attempt to mark the profile of the lower strake onto the upper strake. We decided that our marking tool allowed movement, and so the dark red line is suspect. The more correct line, we believe, is a line which will connect the black dashes. The dases were made by incrementally realinging our tool and making a mark every three inches. The larger image shows the line we decided to use marked in blue.
