The upper stake is aligned nicely with the lower stake. With a few cuts, and a reasonable amount of sanding, we have achieved a good fit. We moved the upper strake out for this photograph, but it fits snugly against the lower strake.

We are ready to set the upper stake aside and permanently attach the lower strake.
