The canoe with a dry fit of the ribs. The manual suggests that the ribs are optional; but in our case, the canoe feels pretty flimsy. We feel that the ribs are a must. We will be installing them with some structural, rather than the hot glue called for in the manual.

We've cut out a triangular foam piece for the aft end of the canoe, and it's being held in place with hot glue. This will get a fiberglass layup before we're done.
