Fast forward - these sections of the air plenum will remain on the firewall. It's easy to see that the offset of the hinges will allow the main plenum to be rotated up.
If the plenum proves to be too rigid with the engine running, we'll modify it to allow some flexibility.
We still need to do some additional layups on the inside of the plenum to create smooth surfaces; and we're hoping that this will allow for better airflow from the NACAs to the engine. |
