We're thinking about the nose access cover. We don't want to use screws in it, so we're looking at creating a latch that can be released by cable from the cockpit. (This is not an original idea. Brett did it on 44VF, as did others before him.)

The white latch above was our first go at it - an aluminum alloy gate latch. It's lightweight, but clunky. Another drawback is that the mounting orientation would make a complicated release.

After taking it apart and looking at how we might make it work for us, Jerry decided that he could make a better solution.
