Jerry drilled and tapped holes for the screws. He shortened the stainless steel screws with bolt cutters.

Here the micro switch is installed and being activated. We still need to acquire a short piece of 5/16" 'blind wand' to use as a space above the micro switch. The generic blind wand that Home Depot sells is too thick.
