We didn't like the look of the hole on the side of the fuselage with the gear up. So we have added the old manual flap. It's nothing more that the top of the gear door cover that you have to remove to allow the gear to open completely. You then hinge it to the fuselage.  The factory calls for a strip of aluminum that goes under the main part of the cover and then up on the outside of this little flap. Its purpose is to hold the door under the main door and allow the main gear to slip over the flap. Since we have carbon scraps, we are trying that instead of aluminum.
