The old Velocity Builder adage that any change from the plans will have "unintended consequences that you will discover later" has bitten us again. I saw Dave Spano doing the interior on 44VF and just last week, and it sank into my little brain that these NACA's we worked so hard to make perfect... they are going to take some extra effort to prep for interior finishing.

Better that I get them done while the plane is flipped.

Here, the one on the right has had the top filled with pour foam and sanded smooth. We will be doing the same on the sides and then covering with some microglass and BID. The one on the left is not yet complete so you can see the need to fill.

Just another indication that you should consider sticking with the factory solution. That works and it is quicker to build!  Of course, I am a slow learner.
