On both sides of the rear cowling, we've trimmed the cowling flange to a straight edge and covered it with mylar tape; and this is where the upper half of the carbon hinge will be installed.

We've completed the new 5-bid layup just below with a quarter inch spacing, and covered it with peel ply. This is where we'll install the lower half of the carbon hinge.

Now we wait for the epoxy to cure...
