This is the area where we created the cutout to install the mid-keel aileron torque tube support. We've decided to leave an access point in the keel, "just in case". Here, we've applied duct tape to the keel. We set the cutout section back in, and did a three-bid layup which extends onto surrounding area by two or three inches. This creates an access cover. We'll add screws along the sides to secure the cover to the keel.
