We're now working on wing bottom (canoe) for the pilot-side wing. (Move everything in the shop, take the wing off of the fuselage, etc, etc, etc).

Here the ribs have been installed in the canoe. The manual suggested hot glue for this step. We chose to install them with structural epoxy (West Systems fast-cure epoxy mixed with cabosil, etc.). We have also painted the top and the bottom of the ribs with epoxy to seal the foam.

First, we did a dry fit of the ribs, holding them in place with duct tape while we tried the canoe on the bottom of the wing. We wanted them a bit undersized to allow room for the structural. When we were happy that the ribs weren't going to cause lumps on the outside of the canoe, we slathered the edges with structural shmooey, inserted the ribs, and clamped everything back in place on the wing.

The bottom of the canoe has a thick layer of micro-glass shmooey: Our canoes were made in a mold; and when we sanded off the mold ridge, some spots were quite thin.
