We're down to factory primer and, in some areas, bare metal. Cleanup was tedious. The chrome paint mostly flaked off when exposed to acetone, but the surfaces still needed sanding and a fair amount of elbow grease. There seemed to be endless nooks and crannies.

The assembly will get coated with a durable epoxy paint, and nothing flashy. We'll need to drop the walls of our small paint booth.
