The braces on either end of the frame have thicker walls than the cross braces. Both are made from 3/4'" square aluminum tubing. The end braces have 1/8' walls, and the cross braces have 1/16" walls.

To create a flat surface, Jerry milled out 1/16" grooves on the end braces and removed material from the sides of the cross braces.
