On the forward side of the canard flanges, we permanently mounted washers. Of course, the flange surface wasn't square with the shelf frame, and required adjustment. In the left photo, you can see the nail that Jerry inserted to square the washer's surface to the bolt head. On the pilot side photo, the nail has already been cut off.
