This is the sketch and the bill of materials we used. I generally would just go the store and buy a bunch of stuff and then make another trip to get the rest of the stuff I needed. I was working with Linda on this project, so she wanted to understand what I had in mind, how it would go together and what materials were needed. She did the bill of materials and THEN I went to the store. Imagine that, we used less material than I would have bought because all of the cuts were predetermined. Even more impressive is that we had almost exactly the predicted remaining single piece of angle. Planning, who would have thought is could work so well?
It's really cool that Linda wants to be involved with anything she can fit into her schedule. She has done layups and sanded and cleaned and organized and made stuff that helps the process. |
